Redo OR Retry Option

Not happy with how your HeyMilo interview went? If the employer allows it, you may be able to redo your interview and submit stronger responses. This guide explains how the redo option works, when it’s available, and what it means for you.

Redo and Rejoin Options

By default, candidates can only complete a HeyMilo interview once. There are two different scenarios where you might be able to complete or continue an interview — and both depend on specific conditions set by the employer.

Rejoin Option (Drop-Off Before 70%)

If you lose connection or exit the interview before completing 70%, you can rejoin and pick up from where you left off.

Important details:

  • You cannot go back and redo any questions you’ve already answered.

  • If you drop off after completing 70%, the interview is considered finished and you cannot rejoin.

  • The 70% threshold is automatically applied to all interviews.

  • This feature is intended for genuine interruptions — not to start over intentionally.

Redo Option (Employer-Aware Only)

A redo is not automatic and is not something candidates can trigger on their own. If an employer decides they want a candidate to redo the interview, they must be aware of it beforehand. In this case, the candidate will be asked to complete the interview again using a different email address.

Important details:

  • The employer must approve and be aware of the redo.

  • The candidate will log in with a different email to start fresh.

  • Employers will have access to both the original and redo interviews for transparency.

  • HeyMilo does not reopen completed interviews under the same email account.

Fairness and Transparency

  • Rejoin ensures you can finish an interview if you drop off early due to technical issues.

  • Redo is only possible if the employer approves it and requires a different email login.

  • These rules prevent abuse and ensure all candidates are evaluated fairly.

Pro Tip

If you’re rejoining, make sure your connection and environment are ready so you can finish without further interruptions. If the employer offers a redo, take it as an opportunity to prepare carefully and give your best responses.
