How to Set Up Your Device
Setting up your device correctly is one of the most important steps in ensuring a smooth and successful interview experience.
For example, if your microphone is not set up properly, your responses may not be picked up clearly, and might cause miscommunication between you and the Interviewer. Similarly, if your audio is not set up properly, you may not hear the interviewer properly and disrupt your conversation.

You grant us the necessary audio permissions
You select the correct camera, microphone and speaker devices which you will be using, so that we can record and transcribe your responses accurately.
Before we get started on how to set up your device, we need to ensure that you are connected to a stable internet connection.
Here is how you can ensure that your internet connection is stable.
Step 1 Go to https://www.speedtest.net/
Step 2 Wait till the service connects to an optimal server
Step 3 Click on the ‘Go’ button
Step 4 If the service asks you for permission to access your location, allow access to it.
Step 5 Ensure that the Browsing Quality given in the report is ‘Good’ or better
Once you have confirmed that you are connected to a stable internet connection that is rated at least ‘Good’ enough for Browsing, you can start setting up your devices (camera, microphone and speaker) on your desktop/mobile as your next step in succeeding at the interview.
Here is how you can set up your devices on your desktop/mobile web browser.
Step 1 Go to the Interview Link
Step 2 Log-in to your interview by entering your Full Name and Email Address, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Continue
Step 3 Click on Start Interview
Step 4 Give HeyMilo.ai permission to access your microphone (for Audio only)

Step 5 Select the correct Speaker and Microphone from the relevant drop down lists (for Audio only)

Step 6 Test your Speaker and Microphone, to ensure they are both working as expected (in the case of a video interview, also make sure that you are able to see yourself clearly on the screen)
Step 7 Click Start Interview
Step 8 Read through the instructions given on the page and click on “Let’s do this!”
Step 9 Double check if your audio settings have been applied correctly
Step 10 Double check if you have provided the relevant permissions to HeyMilo.ai
Step 11 Click on Start Interview!
